Congratulations! You’re now officially part of the ‘A’ Team. As you prepare to transition, this site is here to provide resources and an easy-to-follow roadmap. Also check out the Onboarding Team tab to orient yourself with your points of contact during this process.

Key Dates & Roadmap

  1. Offer Accepted

    • Offer letter & initial new hire paperwork signed
  2. 5 Days Before Start Date

    • Pre-start onboarding tasks – Complete HR paperwork, system and direct deposit setup
    • CAC Appointment & Personnel Security Process Initiation – Ensure all required security forms are submitted, and schedule appointments if needed
    • Review pre-onboarding checklist – Get familiar with Arlo’s onboarding expectations
  3. 3 Days Before Start Date

    • Activate ADP TotalSource Profile – Register your HR profile in ADP, complete tax forms, and direct deposit setup
    • Activate Arlo Email & Microsoft Authenticator App – Set up your Arlo email account and download the Microsoft Authenticator app
  4. First Day

    • Arlo’s Virtual Orientation Courses – Complete your self-paced virtual orientation and system training
    • Arlo Origins
    • ADP TotalSource
    • Deltek CostPoint
    • SAP Concur
    • Security Control (if applicable)
    • Benefits overview & enrollment support – Walkthrough of Arlo’s health benefits, retirement options, and deadlines
    • Security briefing (if required Day 1) – Personnel security & CAC issuance updates
  5. First Week

    • Attend Program Indoc (if applicable) – Attend any agency-specific onboarding appointments
    • Finalize CAC issuance & access setup – Ensure completion of any outstanding security steps
    • Compliance & Training
      • Harassment prevention
      • Workplace safety
      • DCAA time recordkeeping
      • IT data security
    • Review Arlo’s Benefits & Complete Enrollment – Enroll in benefits via ADP (window opens 5 days after start date)
    • Deep dive into role expectations – Meet your direct supervisor, team members, and onboarding buddy
  6. First 30 Days

    • Final reminder to complete benefits enrollment – Ensure all elections are finalized before the deadline
    • First formal manager check-in – Review performance expectations and address any early challenges
    • First formal buddy check-in – Share feedback with your Arlo onboarding buddy
    • Complete your onboarding survey – Let us know how your onboarding experience is going
  7. First 90 Days

    • Fully integrated into role & contract mission – Independently operating within the program
    • Complete 401k enrollment – Automatic enrollment after 60 days of service
